Grace Peng is in the midst of her fourth year with the Caltech women's basketball team and is on her way to one of the most prolific careers in the history of the program. This year, Peng is averaging 40.3 minutes per game, 17.5 points per game, 5.7 rebounds per game and 3.5 assists per game for Head Coach Bridgette Reyes and the Beavers, all of which are on pace for career-highs. She recently crossed the 1,000-point milestone against Bard College back in November, becoming the fastest Caltech player to do so in four years.
A leader by example on and off the court, Peng made up a core group that led the 2018-19 Beavers to their first double-digit win season in the history of the program; one that included four SCIAC wins. The former SCIAC Newcomer of the Year is a Computer Science major, and has worked on a program that converts handwriting detected by the Leap Motion sensor into computerized text since arriving on campus. She has also created an educational coding game.
