Meet Hakim Williams Jr. - Whittier Track & Field and Football

Hakim Williams Jr. has been a dual-sport athlete since he came to Whittier playing football as a wide receiver and running track & field in the hurdles and relays. 2019 was a big year for the junior from Covina, Calif. He took part in track & field in the Spring of 2019 and was named the team's MVP after earning All-SCIAC recognition in the 110-meter hurdles (2nd – 15.44) and the 4x100 relay (2nd – 42.42). In 2018, he was also named All-SCIAC again being recognized in the 110-meter hurdles.       

This fall, he was then named Second Team All-SCIAC as a wide receiver, the first time in his career after putting up career numbers with 701 yards on 31 catches. He averaged 22.6 yards per catch with five touchdowns, and averaged 70.1 yards per game.
