Jack Hanley is entering his fourth season with the Pomona-Pitzer baseball program as a catcher for the Sagehens. Hanley is a career .271 hitter with 27 RBIs and one of the hardest catchers to run on in the SCIAC with 30 runners caught stealing throughout his career.
Not only does Hanley excel on the field, but the New Jersey native spent his past two summers working as a Baseball Operations Intern for the Oakland Athletics and a Quantitative Analysis Summer Associate for the New York Yankees. Hanley spent his time working mainly with swing kinematics data.
After graduation, Hanley has an offer to join the St. Louis Cardinals as an Analytics Engineer. He will be working with the intersection of the Baseball Systems and Baseball Development teams, working directly with data and providing actionable tools and insights for the Baseball Development team.
