The Winter Edition for the CoSIDA 360 Magazine was released this week and Whittier Associate Athletic Director and Director of Athletic Communications, Marketing, and Licensing Lance Franey was spotlighted in the SID Life section.
Franey was one of five CoSIDA Committee Members who weighed in on productivity hacks, ways to get energized, and their highlights from 2019.

Lance is a member of College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). He has served on the CoSIDA Convention Programming Committee since 2014, the CoSIDA Writing Contest Committee since 2013 and just recently became a member of the AP All-American Football Committee and the NCAA Division III Technology Users Group Committee.
He is responsible for all strategic communications for Whittier College's 22 athletic programs, including directing all media, public relations and social networking efforts. In addition to managing the department's official website (wcpoets.com), he oversees all video coverage, licensing, marketing, facility rentals, and branding and serves as the liaison for men's and women's golf and men's and women's tennis. He helped introduce four social media outlets for the Poets, including Whittier College's presence on both Twitter (Twitter.com/wcpoets) (Twitter.com/thewcsn), Facebook (Facebook.com/wcpoets) (Facebook.com/thewcsn) and Instagram (Instragram.com/thewcsn), as well as the YouTube channel (The Whittier College Sports Network). In 2011, he debuted/created the Whittier College Sports Network, which includes live video streaming with play-by-play commentary via Stretch Internet for all Whittier home games.
A native of San Diego, Calif., Lance graduated from Whittier College in 2009 with a degree in Child Development with an emphasis on Developmental Disorders before earning his M.A. in Education in 2011. While at Whittier as an undergraduate he played on the Men's Tennis team, while working inside of the Sports Information office. Prior to Whittier he attended Southwestern College in Chula Vista, Calif. where he played on the Men's Tennis team for two years, while earning an A.A. Degree in Criminal Justice with an emphasis in Criminal Law.
