Offensive Athlete of the Week

Name: Win Hunter
School: Pomona-Pitzer
Year: Junior
Position: Wide Receiver
Hometown: Fairbault, Minn.

Win Hunter led Pomona-Pitzer to a 20-0 victory over Lewis & Clark. The junior wide receiver hauled in eight catches for 119 yards and added a touchdown reception. He averaged 14.9 yards per catch with a long of 43 yards to help the Sagehens secure the shutout victory. 

Defensive Athlete of the Week

Name: Jeff Hector
School: Redlands
Year: Senior
Position: Defensive Back
Hometown: Palos Verdes Peninsula, Calif.

Jeff Hector led the Redlands defensive effort in a 58-7 win over Puget Sound on Saturday. The senior defensive back registered a pair of tackles, including one for a loss of 14 yards. He also intercepted three passes for a total of four yards to help the Bulldogs' defense hold the Loggers to just seven points. 

Specialist of the Week

Name: Arturo Herrera-Caballero
School: La Verne
Year: Sophomore
Position: Wide Receiver/Punter
Hometown: Corona, Calif.

Arturo Herrera-Caballero helped La Verne clinch a 43-33 victory over Willamette. On his first punt attempt, the sophomore registered a 42-yard boot that was fair caught inside the Willamette 20 yardline. His second punt attempt resulted in a 25-yard rush on fourth down and allowed the Leopards to run out the clock and secure the thrilling victory.
